I can’t wait to hear more about the ideas of the future of borderless communication and event hosting on BOCOM. Rhinelander. Half finnish. Married. Father of two kids. Fully qualified lawyer with second legal state examination and EMBA in media management in combination with a huge passion and enthusiasm for human resources. As part of the leadership team of people & culture at Axel Springer SE I played a significant role in the restructuring and realignment of the central HR department of the group and lay the groundwork for agile and modern HR work. Since 2013 I do shape, promote and design – starting in the position as Head of Change Management and later on in different HR leadership roles – the rapid transformation process of Axel Springer from a traditional publishing house to the „leading digital media and technology company“. As certified agile HR Manager and certified Scrum Master my core belief “be the change, you want to see in others” motivates me and my team to lead by example when it comes to modern working practices (just as agile working, social collaboration, team self-organization and OKR) and by doing so we provide new impetus and transformation know-how for the further development towards a truly digital and agile company

The next goal has been identified: Axel Springer wants to become global market leader in digital content and digital classifieds through accelerated growth. The company is headquartered in Berlin and employs more than 16,000 people worldwide.

Why BOCOM?

As a strong believer of the impact and effectiveness of ‘live contact’ (events) within marketing and communication strategies, borderless is more or less a fundamental element of our industry: no borders in terms of the use of multi media and multi chanels; no borders in using live impact with new and innovative tools; no borders in the impact: content coming out of live events can be the motor of a year through campaign using all mediatools; no borders in combing live and online, using the world wide web as the accelerator of spreading the live impact and also borderless in the fact that the impact of live isn’t bounded to any countryborder…by adjusting cultural details live communication/experience marketing is the number one worldwide impacttool. With Covid-19 being a non-meeting-virus it’s up to us to stretch our own borders and break them open…

As a master student in the field of online communication I am constantly making new experiences regarding both technological and social aspects. Through my backround as a business informatics student I have learned to value the power of creative digital work. This attitude was amplified during my time abroad relying heavily on digital services and communicating with people from other parts of the world. As these experiences strongly influenced my point of view, today I’m trying to make use of digital transformation and intercultural cooperation as good as I can.
